About

If you haven’t already guessed, my name’s Dave Hope. I started my career at Immediacy Ltd as their network manager, I was then a Senior Network Manager at Alterian Plc and am now enjoying life at McCarthy & Stone.

I work mainly with Microsoft technologies (though occasionally get involved with Linux and Solaris systems). My experience covers technologies such as Active Directory, SQL Server, IIS, Virtualisation (ESX and Hyper-V/SCVMM), Exchange and a plethora of third-party products.

I’m a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), certified on Windows 2000 and 2003. I updated to an MCITP Server Administrator (MCITP:SA) in 2010. I also hold the MCITP Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2010 (MCITP:EMA), Cisco CCNA and VMWare Associate certifications.

The views expressed on this website/weblog are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of my employer.

What happened to your old blog?

In February 2012 I sold the domain davehope.co.uk and the rights to a popular application I developed to a US company named Nuclear Coffee. If you’re looking for Product Key Finder, you’ll need to speak to them.
